The Virginia Anthropology Society is a society open to graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in making anthropology part of their life. We strive to create a sense of community around anthropology by promoting speaker series, social events, panel discussions, and any opportunities that might interest students who are into anthropology. We firmly believe that the study of anthropology and all the disciplines offered through UVA can be blended with any other study to provide a more nuanced and human-oriented understanding of the "why" and "how" behind many issues of contemporary concern.
