Long-term ethnographic research in north India grounds my work, which emphasizes women's situated perspectives on reproduction, kinship, and health. I regularly draw on global and applied perspectives on health, healing, and culture, as well as literary and popular culture representations in English, Hindi, and Urdu, in the analysis of contemporary circumstances.
